- Step with the right foot
- Toss the ball at arm's length straight up to about 8 feet
- Step with the left foot and have the left shoulder ponted toward the net
- Serve: Begin turning the turso before hitting the ball, contacting the ball with an open right hand higher than and in front of the head. The body should be square to the net after serving.
Keep it simple (no jumping, please) and hit through the ball (reach for the left pants pocket). The picture below shows toss in the air before the left foot comes down and ball contact above and in front of the head.
